Take it as you want it, i see you have a X1900, how long have you had it for???? And you probably pay what??? 500 to 600. Well when the new cards come out, it will probably be for almost the same amount, and the current X19 will get a lower price. I bought a X850XT for almost 500 dollars, about a year ago, it retails today for 150, that is discusting.
I've ordered it the day they were released, January 23rd for $600. When the new cards come out this fall I'll probably be upgrading again anyway. I have two PC's to maintain so the parts in this one with move to #2. The parts out of the second PC now will go to family or a friend. I also think the prices and depreciation is bad, but what are we gonna do about it?
I really hope nvidia gets it act together with the g80, otherwise ati is gonna win the next round too. Still, ati's warranty kills it for me, I mean 1 year? What a joke. I'll stick with my bfg lifetime, thanks.
Powercolor and visiontek both offer lifetime warranties on their cards, just so you know
did i say i have the money to burn? no i just dont understand people complaining about new products.
Dont get me wrong i love when technology evolves, but us the enthutiast end up paying for it on the end. We always want the fastest and greatest. Trust me it is great news, but it just hurts my wallet. Ofcourse i am not buying one, I'll probably wait till next year, is just that VGA are expensive and everytime they upgrade(6 months sometimes 3), the top of the line card you bought for 500 loses half of it's value, so there's no such thing as a good invesment with VGA. Newer games require more and more proccesing power everyday. :)

What's bad about new cards coming out all the time? It seems like it has no downsides... And it's not like they are making you buy it :)
This card looks pretty sweet--can't wait to see some benches. And hopefully the price isn't too high :), although I definitely won't have the money to buy one.
Oh yea.. and there is no downside to new graphics cards coming out, yes it means you cant selll yours for as much, but it means advances in technology and games and everything happen.
