Looks good, but is it real? If it is, glad they redesigned the heatsink, from what I've heard the x1900xtx one is way too loud.

Yeah it's real, they are switching to 80nm and 65nm for their upcoming R6xx cores also.

I really hope nvidia gets it act together with the g80, otherwise ati is gonna win the next round too. Still, ati's warranty kills it for me, I mean 1 year? What a joke. I'll stick with my bfg lifetime, thanks.

1900xtx did not beat the 7900gtx? There about the same?

Also, the GTX uses much less power, and is cooler, and quieter. And as you said, comes with much longer warranty.

Another reason why ATI only thinks of their pocket!!!! The X19 series just came out, and now they have a better one, is been what 2, 3 months??? I sure feel for those who bought the X1900. At least Nvidia does not do this ATI 3 months new card update.

Just more evidence of the futility of waiting 6 months+ to "eventually upgrade" to cross fire or SLI.

This is great news, finally after about a 2 year break we are getting the 6 month upgrade cycle back. Since 2000/1 ATI and Nvidia were pretty good at delivering a new product every 6-9 months, once PCIe came out we saw nearly 2 years of refreshes during the transition... w00t w00t!

Personally i am waiting for DX10 cards sometime in late 2008, but this is promising, means that I will actually have something to upgrade to. Nvidia is rumored to respond in october/novemeber of this year with their G80.

you have to understnad, that the x1900 and 7900 already performs crazily well in games. getting the x1950, you would see almost no performance boost becaise the current cards are already too good. when games start coming out that the x1950 will actually be good for.... more, newer cards will be out.

you're all being idiotic, if they didn't come out with new cards people would complain... and when they do people complain...

they can't win,

they have developed a new card so they released it, they are not going to hold it back just because people have just bought the old card why should they?

i would much rather have a company push the envelope and have a fast paced research lab than have a stale company that wollows in old technology, it makes me wonder if people actually have looked at the I.T. hardware industry over the past decade it always moves like this and the only people who complain are usually the spoilt people who need the biggest and best all the time, just becuase you aren't deemed top of the line anymore doesn't mean the industry should hold back for you.

Like i said the X1900 has been out not even 4 months i think.
The 7900GTX came out just to top the X19 series. And the 7800 GTX512 was made on a really small production, and really expensive.
All i was trying to say is that at the rate ATI is bringing new cards out, it makes their cards loose value rather fast. To me it seems like nVidia holds is value better. Take it as you want it, i see you have a X1900, how long have you had it for???? And you probably pay what??? 500 to 600. Well when the new cards come out, it will probably be for almost the same amount, and the current X19 will get a lower price. I bought a X850XT for almost 500 dollars, about a year ago, it retails today for 150, that is discusting. :laugh:
