One would hope so, because 70*C is astronomically hot.

Not for a GPU, unless I missed something and his CPU is that hot...

70C is a normal load temp, agreed though he shouldn't be idling there.

Both his CPU and GPU are ~70*C

EDIT: And yes, maybe at load 70*C for the GPU, but hell no for idle. My 7800GT with stock cooling idles at 40*C, and under load is around ~45*C+.

if 70 degrees CPU temp is right then it woulf be fried by now...

Well I just called eVGA's customer support and the guy said the best thing to do what to RMA it, because he said that card should be running a lot cooler..

yes ordinarily that would be the case, but my money is on something else. Every component in your system seems to be overheating, this is not limited to your video card.

I really do believe that my sensors are wrong

u need an intake fan & exhaust fan in place, see this..

on idle im on 51 & load its 63

I do, but my fan is not blowing upward like that.. Just straight out.

6600 series does't have temp sensors.

Well before running "rthdribl", here was my GPU temp.. Keep in mind, this is around idle temp for me

Heres what I get when I run "rthdribl"..
