SCAN & Logitech in amazing customer support shocker

Scan is my local 'store' and their no BS, support and returns service really shines when compared to the likes of PCWorld & Co.
Scan computers in Bolton (NW UK)are a performance PC specialist (for those who don't know) and give advice in all areas of building your own and futureproofing your PC. I used them predominantly because of the location at first, but now, as my needs have grown from buying obvious essentials like mice and keyboards to maintaining and updating an overclocked and watercooled PC.

In the time i've shopped there (about 4 years) i've had to return a few items, through general wear or crappy build quality or faulty units. (though this has only happened a couple of times) As long as you gave them the adress details when you bought it (which i think is required) then even if it's 2 years later and you don't have the receipt, a 5 minute phone call will get you a returns code and you can return/post the item.
The only thing i can fault about it is the queuing. Sometimes when you just want to nip in, you can spend half an hour waiting in line, and shuffling past display cabinets stuffed with the lates memory and chips isn't good for the wallet!
All the waiting can be solved by ordering on the internet and then picking up the stuff. I went in on the first day open after new year, (they shut for 2 weeks!!)and the queue went outside the shop and round the corner! Iwas in there 5 minutes!:p

As for Logitech I bought an MX1000 as soon as they came out (from that pcworld place, damn impulse buying) lost the receipt, and last week it went kapput, wouldn't charge past the red light, and then just ran out) rang Logitech on a UK number and ended up talking to someone in Switzerland, gave the serial number and my adress and today i got a brand new mx1000 boxed (even though it was only the mouse unit that was busted) with instrucions to cut the usb at the comp end on the old unit post it back!
To Scan and Logitech then, 5 smily faces!

i see Scan ads in the back of my PC Format magazine, too bad its a UK magazine and a UK company and I live in the US. its a good magazine too. But i love and love hearing about companies like this that return your items so nicely and easily. good work scan! if only Fry's was more like you, then I would have a dual core processer lol, but I lost my reciept for my 3200+ damnit.

Scan are ok, just they sometimes send out previously returned items without even going to the effort of removing the shipping lables.... nothing wrong with the stuff just seems a bit odd...
I like dealing with them and they do seem prepared to help. Also they keep sending me free stuff, which is nice...... just not sure what to do with the cheap nasty keyboard i got last time...
