    nVIDIA 7600 & 7900

Do you guys have any good info and specs on either/both of these? I've really considered buying one of these 2. If I could miraculously find the money for a 7900 I'll buy it, but if not then I'll prolly go with a 7600 or a 7800.

Ok, mwave did have the 7600gt, 7900gt 256mb and gtx 512 for sale, but the links been yanked. The prices were 200 for the 7600gt, 359 for the 7900gt, and 795 for the gtx, and all those prices are significantly above the retail price.

                Found some pics(?):
Die für den morgigen Donnerstag erwartete Vorstellung der GeForce-7900-Serie wirft ihre Schatten auf der offiziell erst ab morgen für den …

Edit: Someone got one, here are the supposed specs for the BFG GTX:
                BFG Geforce 7900 GTX OC
                specs off the box:

GPU : Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX

                Core Clock: 670 MHZ
                Memory Clock: 820 Mhz
                Ramdacs: Dual 400Mhz
Api Support: Microsoft Direct x 9.0 and lower open gl 2.0 and lower for windows

                memory bandwidth: 52.4 GB/sec

Edit2: Here are some gtx (sli?) scores:
Was looking at http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1315 I know they are a few days old but I havn't seen anything on the net about 7900's, they seem to keep em under wraps, is it the same core? Are they made to sink the x1900's?

Edit3: Monarch had links for them, but they got yanked. But they are still selling a system with dual 7900gtx's:

                  Hmm. In 3Dmark 05 my X1900 XTX @ 720/1800 (13,485), beats his 7900 GTX @ 710/1860mhz (12,287). Also he has an FX60 compared to my lowly Opty 170.

I just want to know how many pipes this thing ends up having. Before it was 32 pipes, then it turned to 24 pipes, but everyone was still reluctant. I'm pretty sure its going to end up being 24 pipes, but here's hoping.

It's 24 pipes. Basicly it's a little faster clocks, 90nm, and available compared to the 7800 GTX 512.

Yea, the only noticable thing seemed to be the 90nm shrink. Though performance 10% better than the 7800GTX-512MB isn't too bad. Gets reamed by the X1900XT though.

Why'd you buy a X1900XTX? XT is only clocked 25/50 slower so...

I just had a thing about wanting some 1800mhz ram action. I figured if I was spending $500 on a card why not spend $600.

They are priming the 7900 series to step in and replace the 7800's.

                            7800GTX = 7900GT
                            7800GTX < 7900GTX
                            7800GTX 512 < 7900GTX 512

The 7800 series is made with a larger/older/more expensive manufacturing process, so this makes sense. Its just like the 5800 cards were phased out, albeit not for the same reasons. The 7800 have been successful where the 5800 was not, but its the same sort of idea.

There is only one gtx version, and it has 512mb of memory.
