It will be nice to see AMD's multi-core CPUs. Imagine 4 or more cores working within a multi-threaded environment. :)

well, they still haven't released prices as far as I know. Keeping my fingers scrossed :)
And it should be known that this was only the 2.66ghz version of the Conroe; the 3 ghz extreme edition (probably at the same price point as the high-end FX-60) will perform even better. And that Fx-60 was overclocked a tiny bit to 2.8 ghz.

Ifyou guys are wondering why I'm so into Intel when AMD has better price/performance right now, it's because my parents work at Intel and they only want me to get Intel processors. I actually tried to get a 3200+ from newegg with my own money, but they made me cancel the order when they saw the invoice.
But they bought me a 650 as a Christmas present, which is still really good, so I'm not complaining :)

Meh, it's just that I've never owned or trusted a intel proc in my entire life, and I'm finding it really hard to like conroe. But it looks really good.
