Neither of those video cards support BF2. So the answer is no to both. There is no way you are going to spend under $500 on a machine that will run BF2. Minumum you are looking at $800-$1000 to run on medium/high settings. You would want to be looking in the PC's for Powerful Gaming section of that website.

Please do not buy a PC from Compaq, you will get good value and save money if you custom built a PC, please do not buy such things, I highly reccomend against it.

Okey guys im buying a dell XPS gaming system it has an ati radeon 300x so it should work and it has 512 mb memory free flat panel screen. all for $999 yeah now im gonna get rid of this old computer. bf2 here i come i hope.

Why? You will be sorely disappointed with the machine you receive. For $1000 you can buy alot and get a vid card that is soooo much better, and twice the ram. If you wanna throw your money away on a gaming- substandard-in six months-slow piece of crap, go ahead. Remeber to post what you got and your settings for playing the game. For $1000 you could play all high settings w/ no lag. If you buy that Dell you will play mostly low w/ some medium. Seriously think about this.

Please please please dont get a Dell, you will highly regret it. Just build a computer, its not that hard. Its cheaper than buying a prebuilt, they do better in terms of performance, and you pay for only what you want. You will be SORELY dissapointed if you buy a prebuilt, especially a Dell. Please just build your own, you wont be sorry...And An X300 is a HORRIBLE card, itll hardly run BF2 if even at all, 512 MB of memory isnt very much. You will be laggin like heck if you buy that system. JUST DONT DO IT.

Look at the parts knghtwhosaysni posted above. Itll kick that Dells butt all the way to pluto and it's only $736.98, without a monitor, but im sure you can just use your current or buy a different one. Also dont buy a prebuilt computer and think that you will be able to upgrade it later on, most of the time you wont. With a custom built you can upgrade really easily at any time.

In his price range a Dell XPS is probably a fairly good value, but the X300 is anemic, and slow, and 512MB of ram is way too little.

You need at least !GB of ram and a x1800 or faster or 6800 or faster.
