Gainward? Hm...I don't think Ive ever heard of them before. You might want to try a different brand that a lot of people use like eVGA or BFG.

Gainward is one of the higher end video card companies. They are know for their Golden Samples.

$600-$800, $900 MAX should be the price tag for it, at lowest should be around like $500

Based on FLIPINOMAD system specs I would be wary of taking any pc-related advice from him.

Can I ask you why you have a $800 Video Card (props BTW) and CAS Latency 2.5 memory? It would be like having hubcap(spinners) on a Porche. Just wondering.

This is coming from someone with 3Gb of ram and SLI 6800 GS's.

The video card was $600 and my memory is actually Cas (2-3-2-5) (lowest for 1Gb sticks) at 400mhz. Im running it at 510mhz (2.5-3-2-0), and I challenge you to find 1Gb sticks that do this low of a Cas at that speed.

These ram are Infineon BE-5 IC's the 6 layer Brainpower PCB. They are the fastest 1Gb modules compared clock for clock against Samsung, Micron, and any other IC's.

J-Train is always the first to jump on anyone's rig. I personally find it very annoying. Seriously, why rip on someones pc? Is it to make yourself feel better? Of course hes the leader of the bandwagon in rippin on P4's as well. I tend to be nice to everyone on the forums, but J-Train truly pushes my buttons.

Take a stroll down memory lane and watch how he recommended that everyone buy this special RAM deal on zipzoomfly, when it wasnt even a very good deal. Then when he got the RAM, his computer messed up and it took him like 2 days to sort it out. All that happened is his CAS latency reverted to 3.0 on the new sticks and he was cussing out every person on the forum for recommending 2GB of RAM. :laugh:

THEN he got mad at me for laughing at him so he tried ripping on me for building my mother a PC instead of letting her waste 1000$ on a Dell or some other pre-built crap.

WTF does that mean? I have 3GB of RAM so I can BETA test Windows Vista sh!thead. And my SLI'ed 6800GS OC's work just fine. I refuse to pay top dollar for a video card that will be obsolete in 4 months, especially an ATI.

Actually MatDef, if you paid attention you would see that I have made peace with the SIR dudes (See Zombie thread), and I also apologized for getting mad on the forum about the whole memory thing, my BIOS reverted the CL CLock to 3, I set it back to 2 and it was fine, better than ever. Maybe if you took the time to read entire threads and not just part of them you might get the bigger picture.
