I disagree! Dont look at the 6200 as a 6200, but as a 6600! How u ask? The 62 and 66 use the same gpu, just the 6200 has 4 pipes closed and the speed dropped. I have unlocked 4 pipelines on mine and OC it to run as a 6600at 8 pipes , GPU at 400mhz and 128mbs of mem at 750mhz!!!! Saving me $40!!! Bu t thats only the AGP version....

otherwise, if i had to save money i would personally go with a $100 6800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130261

EDIT- NVM just read you dont have PCI-e. d**n you!

if your upgrading to run on all high a x1300 or 6200 wont cut it at the framrate you want

if you only play shooters i would reccomend spending some less money on your processor and more on your graphics card

I know my current comp doesn't have PCI-e, it's AGP, but I am getting a system that DOES have PCI-e. What do you think I could run the X1300 at on BF2?

i wouldn't go any lower than 6600GT if you're planning to run 'em all on high
              6800GS sweet spot..

                Re: x1300 or 6200?

wouldn't the X1300 be faster because it has dedicated video memory? Because from what I've read from the nvidia website, the 6200 would "borrow" some of the system's memory.

so then wouldn't the X1300 be better than the 6200?

yes, non-unlocked (if the unlocking to the 6600 is actually true). it would be.

                        Re: x1300 or 6200?

well, spending part of an afternoon searching through google, unlocking is possible, but for some cards the unlocked pipes are corrupt and aren't usable, while some are. I'd pretty much be taking a chance as to whether mine would work unlocked or not.

                        so, X1300 or 6200?

I've recently come across 2 video cards to purchase, and I can't decide which one, so I thought I'd came here and ask yall.

                          Me choices:

                          NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE w/TurboCache 256MB support
                          or
256MB DDR ATI Radeon X1300 Pro

                          any help/hints/pointers?
                          Neither

Couldn't you just spend an extra 20 bucks and get a 6600gt?

                              which version, 128 or 256?

128mb because going to 256mb will only give you a tiny fps (2-5%)increase as it has a 128bit interface

anyway i have an alternative to the 6600gt the x1600 pro im sure its the same price but its newer and slightly faster than the 6600gt and i hear it overclocks like its on steroids
