x1300 or 6200?

Howdy,

I've recently come across 2 video cards to purchase, and I can't decide which one, so I thought I'd came here and ask yall.

Me choices:

NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE w/TurboCache 256MB support
or
256MB DDR ATI Radeon X1300 Pro

any help/hints/pointers?

You mean the X300 right? I never saw a x1300, link me if there is such thing... and I know that the 6200SE isn't very good at bf2 'high/med´settings.

I wouldn't recommend either of these.
What interface do you have? PCI, AGP, or PCI express?

EDIT: from the link you posted I'm assuming you have PCIe..

Good card for the price. Seems to be in your price range.

Also how many watts is your PSU? Because that card requires a 450W...

You'll run a good amount on high, if not all, especially with 2GIGs of RAM!



But if you have a bigger budget you could get a better card.

AMD Athlon 1800+
640mb of PC2100 RAM
Nvidia 5200U

I run BF2 on all low, 85% view distance, and I average about 20fps. I can't play in 64 players, my computer lags too much.

Anywho, I would suggest at least getting a 6600gt, much better price per performance than the 6200 or x1300.
And keep in mind you do NOT have a PCIe slot on your current system. It's an AGP slot and you'll need to get an AGP video card. Unless you're planning on upgrading your motherboard and processor too.

i would go with x1300, newer, probably a little faster, even the x300 outperforms the 6200, i would definityl go with the x1300.
