Weirdly high FPS?

Ok, now htis is just strange, yestarday, when i went on to a 32 player karkand server, and i put up the FPS tracker (renderer.draw.fps 1) it said 85/15 or something around that, and that means 85 FPS, and like 15% CPU usage. I don't think that when i'm playing 1280x1024 with 6xtaa and 16xAF i can get 85 FPS. Can anybody tell me what's wrong, i'll try to post screen shots soon.

Second nember IS NOT CPU usage. It's mS between frames.

There must be something wrong!
Hmm does the game seem to be running as high as that or does it still stutter or anything? Maybe you've downgraded drastically some settings from Windows and thereby gained the increase?

I used to get such fps easily before the problem with PB messing up my frames.
Now it looks something like this: 22/54

Ok, now when i enter a server it is only 45fps, the exact same server as well. Also, the graphics quality looked the same. So i dunno what that was, prob a glitch.

sometimes it happens, and yes, as jimmy said, it is the Ms between frames, not the CPU usage. For some reason people think it is the CPu usage, lol, trust me its more than 15% while opening firefox!

CPU usage while playing BF2 will probably be at around 80-90% average for most of us.

Ya, it was just a rumor, at FIRST, people thought the second number was the average FPS u got, but that's WAY too low, then they said it was the CPU usage, so finally some people know what it REALLY means. Anyways, no, it didn't look any smoother, but for ME, i don't think i could tell the difference between 45fps and 80-90FPS, but that is just ME.

well my comp isnt bad 3.2 ghz prosseser, 6800GT 512, 1 gig ddr2 ram 250 GB hard drive and i really lag badly, any ideas?

What's ur network connection, ALSO, what's the average FPS u get on servers, and ALSO, what servers do u play at, 64p servers?

Hmm, I almost have the same hardware and i get 65 fps with 53 bots and myself on a 16 player map. I did buy a gaming machine, but you shouldn't be doing that bad...

Uninstall your antivirus software and give it a test.

Oh ya, i always have to remember to disable the antivirus/internet protection software, or else it starts spamming me to see if it should let BF2 connect to the internet.
