Sorry..my ISP dropped for an hour and a bit there.

So this is the exact CPU you have?:
    Athlon 64 3400+ ADA3400AEP4AX (Newcastle)

If so, try these manual settings:

-your hypertransport should be at 800 MHz
-your FSB should be at 200 MHz
-your multiplier should be at 12 X
-your CPU voltage should be 1.5 V

What sort of RAM do you have running? If you are NOT running 200 MHz DDR (i.e. PC3200) then you may have to use a memory divider.

If your CPU is a Clawhammer, get back to me..things are a bit different.

i cant put the multiplyer at 12x because it becomes unstable at 8.5x

What do you mean by unstable? What is the cache of the chip when you get into windows?

Is the chip's exact model # ADA3400AEP4AX and it's the Newcastle core?

If so, 12X is SUPPOSED to be the multiplier it runs at.

You can constult the following table:

Yeah I know about the chip, but what does yours say in windows. Use CPU-Z to see what size L2 cache you have.

              Get CPU-Z here:
Sorry ... can't find what you are looking for :(

Great little informational utility. Tell us what it tells you about your CPU.

Here you can get the chiupset drivers, bios update (use EZ Flash):

That should be all you need to get it back up and running properly. I have the same board and cpu.
