    No

    Same rubbish FPS.

I changed back to 81.98 and the FPS improved by about 3 or 4.

Darksniper: I don't really want to do a format...

I'm going to have a look at some PSUs, although I really don't want to have to upgrade again.

      Re: MEGA FPS problem

Sounds like the "1.12 fps problem" which bogs down fps on many computers with patch 1.12. Download the demo and check fps there. If it´s nearly twice as high as on retail 1.12 you´re a victim of the 1.12 fps problem too. The only hope really is that patch 1.2 will fix this.

rolling back to the older drivers wont help much unless you use nasty file remover, or driver cleaner pro in safe mode to remove all the drivers you currently use...

          Re: MEGA FPS problem

I re-installed BF2 and tried before 1.12, the same FPS. Then I installed SF and then 1.12. I forgot to put x4 FSAA and the FPS stayed at 99. I then moved the FSAA up to x4 and the FPS is max at 99.99 and minimum at 80.00, so what happened there, I do not know.

It seems that there may be been some reg files slowing it down or something. Thanks for the help everyone though :)

BTW, how do you get the FPS to show above 99?

              Thanks.

But, I hate to have to say this. Its come back again. Grrrrr Arrg Arrrg. I did a system restore and re-installed BF2 but the problem still persists. I really do not understand this.

If only I didn't have to SR, because it wouldn't boot up this morning. This problem is continually bugging me

              I HATE IT!!!

I'm going to re-install BF2, how do I delete the registry entries?

Also, for the last few days my PC takes about 5 minutes on the windows page at startup. What is going on??

                  Re: MEGA FPS problem

I get 40-60FPS Ultra Settings on Quake 4 so it must be a BF2 problem.

If the above statement is true then you have ISSUES not related to bf2, your system is taking so long because it is loading a lot of programs or SPYWARE into windows at boot, use adaware (google is your friend) & check for spyware, it MAY NOT be the cause but it's a good place as any to start.

                    Good luck.

                      Re: MEGA FPS problem

                      Thanks, I've got Microsoft Anti-Spyware.

Also, what annoys me is that say the PC takes 5 mins at start-up the next time I restart it after posting this it loads quickly. But as I said Quake 4 runs very well on it.
