What are the CPU temps? Try up to 1.6volts, I used that on my old SD 3700+ and it was perfectly fine.

Now i have like 40C, but thats cause my fan is screwed up and always temporarily stops spinning.

Do you have ITE smartguardian installed? Is cool n quiet enabled in your bios?

No, i didn't enable it, but PCwizard 2005 says i got the fan at 0%, which it is, it's not spinning at the moment, it's been like this for a long time, but i think PCwizard is messed, now it's spinning again, but it still says fan at 0%, and one temp monitor says 24C, and teh other says 40C. BUt MBM5 doesn't work, and EVEREST no longer ofers teh free edition and my trial for the ultimate ediition ended, i guess i'l have to download speedfan.

EDIT: Ok, i think they are both right readings, cause speedfan has two readings for 'temp1' as well, i guess the 40C is for the CPU itself and 24C is like for the temp of the heatsink or the ambient CPU temp.

Go get the DFI specific software thats made for that board and uninstall all that 3rd party crap. ITE Smartguardian...

On www.dfi-street.com there's a thread that has all the info on how to set up MBM for a DFI lanparty. It has all the info and files you need and it's already pre-configured. It shows you the temps of everything, voltages, and fan speeds. Sorry I can't give you a link, I'm on a public computer, and it's a pain to switch IE back and forth.

All this BS, the answer is simple, it's your memory, i've been oclockin for years, you need high quality (see sig) memory to reach the high front side bus speeds you're looking for, voltage is a factor but not until you get real good memory, 2 gigs of anything halfway decent will cost a minimum of £150.00, allways try & buy matched pairs & you'll never look back, high quality memory is one of the greatest investments in a fast rig.

Actually his memory is running under it's specified speed. Have you ever heard of a memory divider? You should because all A64's run with one. I love the guys that come in at the end of a thread and throw in their 2 cent.

Of course i know what a memory divider is, you obviously know nothing of what you speak, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing so use yours wisely.

Then you would know it doesn't matter if you have crappy ram with an AMD 64 since you can always run it close to it's stock speed. This is especially true on the DFI boards which have the most ram divider options of any board I've seen. Bottom line is that it's not the ram holding his overclock back.

I'd suggest we stop also since you obviously have nothig to back up your argument. I think you should buy good ram so don't get me wrong. What I'm saying is that it's not a factor in overclocking his CPU.
