    you will easy run on high settings with a 6800gt - ive got a standard 6800 and i can run perfectly on all high aprart from lighting and texture at 1280x1024 with 2x aa

    i have only 1 gig of ram and a amd 3000+ processer

      For 6800 GT's (back in the AGP days, I think its still the same in PCI-E), nvidia recommends a PSU of 350 watts and about 24amps on the 12v side (its fine in dual-rail situlations, as long as the total rails (total, then take off 20-30% off for efficency reasons) are that number. Keep an eye on the rails...

      Never skimp on a PSU: a PSU is like the fuel you put in a sports car - put crap in it, it will die. Get the jest? A good PSU also ensures (up to a degree without a UPS) good reliable power.

        i had a 420w thermaltake that couldnt handle a 6800GT properly with amp's you need to make sure that PSU will give you a steady amp supply more than wattage.
