Re: Top of the Line AGP cards....

I've been getting random reboots for the last few weeks and I knew it was a ram issue, so yesterday I went and purchased some new OCZ 2x512 PC3200 (they didnt have the 2x1Ghz) in stock ..

anyway I wanted to see how far I could push 1g of ram in the game to see if the game was really limited by 1G..

at the same time I stuck back in my old P4 2.4c M0 stepping CPU..

      results of the clocking..

not bad, I can push it further...

      ingame results

      1024x768 4xAA

all in all I think this little chip is screaming right along

video stock no clocking at all..

and to all of you who are saying "dont get an AGP card go PCI-E" and crap..

I really dont see an advantage to it as of yet, other than it's more futureproof...

their is really no preformance advantage of PCI-E yet...

anyway that took care of my bored snowed in day yesterday..

THe 6800GS can overclock like CRAZY, at least for PCI-e. It is as good or better than teh 6800GT non overclocked, and it overclocks WAY further.
