No more cards will be available after spring, and those will be leftovers. If you want to get a card and don't plan on getting a new mobo for pci-e, I would suggest a X850XT PE. Best agp card available, good luck finding one at a good price if you can find one.

Best AGP is X850XTPE, yes better than the Ultra, not much thought, something to consider is that the Ultra has SM3 support while the 850 does not, and i think also has HDR support.

ya between the X850 and the 6800 Ultra it comes down to what game your playing.. as they go back and forth in testing as to who is faster.

            Sm3 and HDR..

            HL2 Lost Coast looks amazing..

the Ultra is a fast card thats never given me any troubles

only thing I dont like about it, the 6800 Ultra doesnt clock worth a crap..

stock is 425/1100 and you wont get much more than that..

            never really needed it tho...

Haha, i got higher clocks than u have (i just needed to do that, no offense). Anyways, the X850XTPE is in MOST people's opnions the best AGP card, but if u play a lot of DOOM 3 and Far Cry and NOT Half-Life 2 then the Ultra is definetly a better card. Anyways, there are rumors going on about a 7800GS, which is a 7800GT in AGP, but i doubt it will come out.

                      upgrading sounds fine...
                      considering:

                      New PCI-E compatable boardc
                      DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Socket 939 $175
                      New CPU
                      AMD Athlon 64 FX57 San Diego $1000

and then of course your new GFX card... $350-$1200

and then wtf do you do with your old PC stuff... EBAY here I come..lol

I just want to say how stupid it is to get a top of the line AGP card.
It would cost you an extra 100 dollars then its PCI-E counterpart.
Might as well upgrade to PCI-E to save in the future.

For some it may be that easy. But for others it involves getting a new processor, heat sink, and psu. Not that it is a bad thing, but it adds an extra $300.00 at least.

the eVGA 6800GS is available in AGP! http://www.evga.com/products/moreinf...256-A8-N387-TX probably the best AGP card that'll last you for awhile... plus if you do upgrade your mobo to PCIe, use the "step-up" program to get a PCIe videocard.

X850XT PE is the fastest AGP card around, it runs BF2 better than all others. As alternative you can look into a 6800Ultra, if those are still in stock.
