No wonder you run Med. 800x600 is a piece of cake.

The point is...800x600 sucks. If you've never seen better resolutions then you might think that its fine, but you won't believe how much better 1280x0124 looks. THATS why people spend $300 on videocards.

Re: my new pc. . .

Resolution depends the size of your monitor. For example, on my 17" CRT 1024x768 looks the same as 1280x1024 because the smaller the screen the less pixels it takes to fill it up. Of course if you have a 20"+ monitor 1024x768 will look pixelated compared to 1280x1024. What size of monitor are you running?

I reread your post and either you are confused or you're talking about something totally different. Ping and fps are 2 totally different things that have nothing to do with one another. So what are you talking about? Ping of 30-90 or fps of 30-90?

I'm sorry but you're a freaking tool. What does ping have to do with fps and system specs? As long as you aren't on 56K dialup, you will have a low ping if you're connected to a server close to you. So until you know what you're talking about, which obviously you are clueless, STFU. You're making a fool out of yourself.

LOL!!!! Holly ****, what a n00b. I was waiting for the "pictures", but if you want your true FPS do this:

                            1. Join a server with people in it.

                            2. Go in to console (press the "`~" key) and type "renderer.drawfps 1" without the quotations and press the enter key, now exit the console by pressing the "`~" key again.

                            3. Your FPS will be shown in the top left of the screen in red print (first number). Anything above 30 is good.

                            4. Now that your FPS are showing press the print screen button (left of the scroll lock button). Do that while you are somewhere isolated and again when you are watching or in a fire fight.

                            5. To turn off the fps go back into console (press the "`~" key again) and type "renderer.drawfps 0" without the quotations, hit enter, and leave the console by hitting the "`~" key again.

                            6. Now leave the server and game.

                            7. Go to "My Documents" in the Start menu, click Battlefield 2, scroll over to screenshots, and then look for the screen shot(s) (There are two versions of the screen shot(s) make sure you get the .jpg version!)

                            8. Now go to http://www.imageshack.us and click the browse button, search for the screen shot(s) and upload it/them. (You can only upload one at a time.)

                            9. Copy the URL that says Hotlink for forum (Copy the top one because there are two of the ones that say "hotlink for forums".)

                            10. Now that you have the image address"es" reply to this topic. Paste the URL's in the reply box and leave a message, then hit submit.

"`~" key is the key to the left of the "1" key, above the "Tab" key, and below the "Esc" (escape) key.

Is your monitor lcd or crt? If it's crt, then that would be the equivilant to the lcd's 1280x1024.

You know what, I think this guy is telling the truth you know why? Look at my system specs down in my sig. Now I play BF2 at around all on MEDIUM SETTINGS and my FPS is around 40-60. The FPS drops to 30 in intense firefight. OK? Not bad right? But consider this, I'm playing on an American server at 250+ average ping. What now, huh?
