6600gt is the bang for the buck video card for the mainstream market... Its cheap and very powerful. You wont regret buying it.

Dude we've already answered your question. The 6600GT is better, regardless of the 6600 having 256mb of memory.

Just because it doesnt have 256mb of memory doesnt mean it wont be able to run future games. Pretty simple 6600gt > 6600 ... even in future games.

Forgive me, i got confused. The 6600 is alot better because of the 256mb of memory, and it will be more future proof. That will be your best choice. Don't get it from Newegg either, they overcharge on all of their products.

The new 6600 256mb is extremely close to the 6600gt 128 in performance. It has a new memory architecture that burries the older plain 6600.

I would suggest using google and finding reviews on the new 6600 256mb since it will most likely be compared to both the 6600gt and the older regular 6600.
