It should be sata compatible with an i915 chipset. If so I'd get the Western Digital 320Gb 16mb cache Sata 2.0 drive that was just released. Retail is around $150.

can anyone give me a quick explaination of raid and sata please because i don't really know what i am looking for.

and if those 3 choices above will be ok with my motherboard.

                        thanks in advance

You need 2 harddrives of the same size to run RAID. SATA uses...a SATA cable and IDE uses an IDE cable. SATA is faster, and SATA2 is twice as fast as SATA...150 vs. 300.

If you can't get a Sata II WD then at least get the 400GB 16mb cache version. It's only difference with the first one I posted is the Sata I/Sata II. Thats just the transfer speed of the drive and really is limited to by the speed of the hard drive and isn't necessary.
