Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
If your current comp uses agp, I'd go for either the gt or the ultra. Just be sure to skip the plain 6800. -

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
I also have the BFG 6800 GT OC, I OC'd it even more to 410Mhz Core and 1.10 Ghz on the memory. Ran everything on high 2xAA @ stock speed with no problems. It's a good card if you have AGP, you shouldn't be disappointed in it as long as the rest of your system is up to par.Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
Thats actually my "vanilla" 6800. Proves to show that you only need a kickass pc to help the videocard. I have everything on high with 50 bots with around 55-60fps, not to mention. Those are my favorite screens. The video card i have you can now get around $200 on newegg.comIs that the 6800Ultra or 6800GT??Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
Good Luck finding a AGP 6800GT, lol. And I can guarantee you that you won't find a AGP 6800Ultra, hell its hard to find a PCI-E 6800Ultra nowadays, lol.
AGP 6800GTs are not only hard-to-find but also very expensive. Nothing below $350 probably, though I haven't looked in a while and I could be wrong. I'm not wrong about it being very expensive though.Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
lets say if u r on budget u better GO with 6800 vanilla, That's my upgrade on xmas. Because u may able to clock it and unlock the 4+1 extra pipeline to make it as the GT version. Use riva tuna and its easy as hell, absolutly no damage to the card. Because NV40 are used on both GT or all the 6800 i think.Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
Not all 6800's are unlockable. First, it must be AGP, and second, there is by no means a 100% percent success rate when unlocking pipes.
I have a 6800. Good card.Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
What do u think of the Leadtek A400 (6800le) 128mb?
It has clocks of 400/1.1ghz which on paper looks pretty impressive
well priced too.
R their any down sides to this?Comment

Re: Nvidia GeForce 6800
it ha 128 mb which is a downside, and is the LE which in nvidia terms means basically lame edition
I would look for the GS. if not than a very good XT. and if not that a regular vanila like the one you posted, but unlock the pipes and vertex shaders.
I would try to get it with ddr2 or ddr3 memory, and 256mb because thats where its going to countComment
