Why do you guys like the MX518 so much?

I dont get it. I look at that mouse and I think "Wow what a piece of crap"
For starters it has a wire....it looks umcomfortable as hell....
I use a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse, and have been using it for about a year now, it still works like new, I never get interference with it, it doesnt lag....

Interesting, I had the "pleasure" of using that microsoft mouse and didn't like it at all. The scroll wheel seemed to just slip and slide everywhere and... bah.

Anyways, I got an MX1000 and I love it. It's everything I want in a mouse.

talking about batteries, my warning light is flashing...my mom had an accident at work, and gets batteries for this thing that help relax her back, but dosnt use it, so she pull out the betteries from these packs of 4, but this month they came seperate, and they are energizer

I am a right handed person who plays games using his left hand. That mouse would be very uncomfortable for me to use. Im stuck buying those ambidexterous mice.

Lmao, that's the same mouse I use. I wanna get the MX518, because they look about the same imo. Also, I hate buying batteries for this thing. If I dont like it, i'll just stay with my Microsoft one.

Why dont you buy it, and see if you like it? Like I said, you can just switch back if you dont like it..

I never go without a wire anymore, I hate charging. My next mouse will be a Logitech G5.

I have this mouse and would want another one.

-design is very good so it feels perfectly in your hand
- buttons are placed perfectly so you can handle them all in a wink.
it isn't wireless, I don't like wireless mouses, and want my mouse to be working perfectly all the time.

for example, the jump binding with me is mouse number fuer, it's on left of mouse where my thumb is
and now in SF switching to nightbiew is number five, also thum and I can switch to night view in an eyeblimb

First off, wireless is the WORST way to go. It operates on a very low freq, therefore your wife turning on the blender can interrupt your mouse. Secondly, if the batteries are running low, again you have ZERO mouse control.
Also MS got rid of the click-index for the scroll wheel. Duh! The freewheeling scroll wheel makes you end up with a knife a a gunfight!
LED Mice are allso slow responding and sluggish. I know this because I went from a Logitech MX510 to the G5, HOLY CRAP, I am quickdraw McGraw now! My score has skyrocketed, my accruacy is up and I play so much better.

Ill try it...but I havent hard any problems at all with my mouse being wireless. I have a microwave not more then 15 feet away, I have a wireless router, wireless home phone, wireless joystick, and still my mouse functions perfectly !

I currently have the MX510, and MX1000 wireless, and they both suck! I just spent about $90 getting a new Razer Copperhead Laser Mouse. I bought a Razer Boomslang 1000 back in like 97, and it still works great to this day! So I am hoping that same quality is still a part of the Razer brand.
