For me, it's pretty simple. Cheap, looks cool, very comfortable (for my hand, anyway), lots of buttons, custom DPI settings. It's a sweet mouse for a gamer on a budget. No way I'm going to buy another mouse with less than 8 buttons again.

I dont get it. I look at that mouse and I think "Wow what a piece of crap"
For starters it has a wire....it looks umcomfortable as hell....
I use a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse, and have been using it for about a year now, it still works like new, I never get interference with it, it doesnt lag....

Why don't you try it before you diss it? Lots of buttons, change dpi with the push of a button, looks freakin awesome, and what looks uncomfortable to you in amazingly comfortable to the rest of us. But you haven't tried it have you? No... didn't think so...

Again...picking a mouse is all user perfered - its one of those things where its the person that makes the decision. Best way to test a mouse - feel them at a store and then decide.

I am personally happy with the logitech G5 mouse...big improvement from the MX-700 =)

This is the fate of my POS MX-510, I'd advise everyone to stay away from Logitech Mice.. I am now using a $10 dollar Microsoft Explorer Optical, which has served me better than both my MX-510, and MX-1000 combined! I ordered my Razer Copperhead, Sunday night, hopefully it will be here soon!

Hahahaa.. well im using a $20 (AUD that is) mice.. optical.. not yet wireless... works well.. is comfortable and doesnt stuff up or anything *touch wood* :P

And, do you put all your mice through such rigorous testing??? :p

Haha, of course I do! Flame resistance is a must for my Mice! Haha, I had enough of it tonight when I had a great score in BF2, then it freaks out on me, and I can't even quit BF2 it was jumping around so bad, I ended up hitting the reset button! After that, I decided to let it go out in a blaze of, well, melted plastic! :p

What is your problem with Logitech mice? I used nothing but MS mice for years. My favorite was the MS Intellipoint Mouse. Felt great. Then I switched to Logitech, in my opinion, the best mouse manufacturer in the world. Don't get me wrong. I use a MS Intellipoint at work, but then again, you don't need an accurate mouse to work in Excel and Outlook.

My problem is I bought the MX-510, it kept drifting on me, then I bought the MX-1000, and it does the exact same thing! Yet, I plug in my $10 MS Explorer, and it works perfectly, like it always has! I have wasted about $100 on Logitech crap, and its the last time they will get anything from me. I have tried drivers, I even reformatted TWICE, and it didn't help me a bit!

Setting fire to a mouse that isn't working.... big mistake, next time you have money to burn, send it to me. If it isn't working right, return it and get a new one, or get store credit Setting fire to a $50 mouse.. yikes, not the sharpest tool in the box are ya?

Agreed, I've never had any problems with logitech mice, I don't know anyone who has either. The microsoft mice aren't bad, but the logitech ones are superior.

But anywayz I really really know this for a fact your mouse dosen't give you more skills
like if you got a video card, sound card, more ram...now that stuff that really improves your gaming...but a mouse hell no....3 months ago I was still playing with my 1996 mouse that wasen't iven LAZER! And I was owning in BF2, CS:S, AA as with my MX518 and I have already tried the G5 and G7 and still was owning the same way.....

Hey now, that's the same mouse I use (mx510 blue). I've been killing plenty of BF2 bad guys with it.

I use that same mouse alex, but try another one and you'll notice there is actuall a difference with only 800DPI and it being wireless, also if you don't use a good mousepad. I got a func mousepad with a razer copperhead on order =D

Thats the same problem i have now with my logitech, it doesnt happen very often, but if i leave my mouse just sitting there, the pointer will drist, sometimes just kinda of "twitch" but other times it will go from one side of the screen to the other! slowly, but still.
