Opterons are usually cheaper than the x2's, oc way better and are just better all around.

Because it was (and still is, just too expensive) the best dual core proc amd made. They hadn't released the 1xx opterons yet, and I had enough money, so I bought it. Now, if I was making the same decision, I'd go with the opteron.
