I tried the Warcats 5.11, and they didn't help me a bit. I am going to try older drivers, to get rid of the "morphing guns" in the game.

"morphing guns" ? Can you be more specific ? This is one of the errors we don't encounter too often and i want to know more about it. That's why i always ask for feedback so things like this won't happen again in the near future.

I know what they are, my point is who are these people writing the drivers? Why should I believe that they are smarter than the ATI engineers? You say they shut off certain things to make the card run faster - why didn't the ATI people turn them off? I'm skeptical partly because of the security risks involved with uncertified drivers. Omega I've heard about for years but WarCat?

it is not that they are smarter than the ati people, but just have a different agenda, and usually use the ati drivers and modify them. i have used omega for a long time, but have not heard of warcat, so i might read up on them and give them a try.
