yea DDR just sends data on the clock "rise and fall" where as SD only sends it on the "rise". So DDR send twice as much data as SD.

what are you talking about. unless you mean ddr-sdram, sdram is not ddr ram.

ddr ram has TWICE the bandwidth, transfer / data rates, of sdram!

You don't understand what i'm talking about, go to like newegg. When i say DDR is the same, i mean DDR SDRAM 184 pins. If you're saying that DDR SDRAM vs. SDR SDRAM those are different. Anyways, if you don't know what you're talking about, then don't post my friend. Wreck and i know what DDR is. Nobody uses SDR anymore, we all only use DDR SDRAM (184 pins) now, or DDR2 SDRAM (240 pins).

Yeah lol, my pops (dad) has 2x256 RDRAM (rambus) modules in his old dell. It sux, he tried to buy 2 more 256mb rdram modules on ebay. Found out that the mem was too slow and wasn't compatiable with his current ram. He now just keeps it, waiting to resell on ebay. RDRAM was like the first carnation of new ram, but it was horrible tech and was EASILY replaced by SDRAM, which is less expensive an dbetter.

He's right Eddy. The "SDR" stands for Single Data Rate. SDR SDRAM would be "Single Data Rate Single Data Rate RAM" which is weird. Then again, DDR SDRAM is also weird, but you get the idea.

Crucial is wrong if you want to be specific. DDR is a type of SDRAM period. SDR is a type of SDRAM period.

You are wrong. SDR means: Single Data Rate, and SDRAM means: Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory.

So SDR SDRAM means Single Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory. DDR SDRAM means Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory.
