i had a bad spyware, so i download microsoft anti spy to uninstall it, so i did, i restarted like it told me, now it wont start up at all, it goes to win load up then once i finishes it restarts, it just does it over and over

i would of used SPYBOT search and destroy instead of anyting microsoft gives u... i had the same problem, but i dunno how i fixed it sory... hopefully som1 will com n help u soon -

tried that too, even to the Last Config option, just keep doing, so right now i just pluged in my moms HD, see if ican save anything and restore it allComment

Your best bet might be a repair install, it might not fubar all your data.Comment

I really doubt it could do more than software damage, have you tried booting with just the xp install disc to see if it can find your drive?Comment

do a google search and download ultimate cd boot for xp its free I had soo many prob's I reformatted 6 times my computer wouldn't even boot from cd or get a boot disk that cd boot program has everything you want from ram to disk lots it worked for me hope this helpsComment

which command is it to repair win files, im in the win repair command thingy
btw i damaged my moms HD, lol, when i tried connecting the id cable, the last two already bent pins turned side ways, i think pulling em out a lil now it wont boot on my mom comp either

I can't remember the command, I just put the xp disk in and hit repair install, and then it did the rest, if I was at that comp right now I could help you more, but I'm not, sorry. About the hd, just try to gently bend the pins straight, use some needlenose pliers or something. Just be very very gentle.Comment

cuz its asking me to choose the drive and i do, then i have type in commands
about the hd first thing i did, it wont make a sound, i tried this old 10gb hd and it just goes, no OS on it thoughComment
