Just the way i feel, because i been looking to get a crossfire board, and one came out, and tha's it, nothing more. Only god knows when another one is coming out, and their resent product is not even something to look at know that the new GTX is here, i know ATI has a bigger market share on graphics but i see this number going down, and fast.
      Just venting off anyways.

Well I think you will get a few flames for this thread IMO. The card you have listed in your sig is a good one and you obviously aren't suffering anywhere near as much as some people graphically in this game, if you don;t like the way ATI is conducting themselves with regards to technology then the answer is simple.
On your next upgrade switch to NVidia.

              Give me your x850xt.
Crossfire may not be the SLI-killer ATI fans wanted it to be, but give it time. If you have the money to afford it, you have quite a few options, so there's not much to worry about.

If ATI didn't care about customers, it'd be Volari vs. Nvidia.

Nice, you're a supermod, but a question, how did you get to be a mod in the first place? Personal connections with Gamewizard or something like that?

No, although I do have a bit of a history in the BF community dating back to BF42.com/FPScentral.com before the collapse, was admin at relic, admin at poe, admin at bfc so I was asked if I could help out here.

                      Anyway... :o

I used a 9800 pro for almost 2 years, I even overclocked the **** out of it too (427/749) and it ran great for 8 months before I upgraded to my current 6800GT (Oc'd that too)
My old 9800 pro still lives even today in my GF's system, awesome card and I'd definately buy ATI again.

I'm not a fanboy, I buy whatever is best at the time of upgrading.

Wow, seems like everybody hates ATi. Only this new generation is bbad, why, they come out late and a bit overpriced. ANd just when the X1800XT takes the crown from the GTX256mb, like a week or two later, it gets dethroned by the GTX 512mb. But they havn't totally lost, all companies hve their low points (like nvidia's FX series) i bet ATi will have at least a small comeback for the next gen of cards.

Had an Geforce4 TI, ran great and sure it could have run battlefield2 if it had support but oww well, the fan died then the card died...

Replaced with the cheep 9600Pro that ran my farcry, doom3, generals, battlefield... For bf2, it did a Great job and manages to make a p3 933 with 386 ram run on low res without lag.

My main is a socket462 so i got the best cpu for it that I can find and throw a kickass Geforce6600GT
(computer cost me 1100$ 2 years ago and spent p-nuts for upgrades)

ATI Has made some Fantastic cards, and now for some reason got their ass kicked by nvidia that made the cheep 6600GT destroy the 9800XT that shares similar price tag, while the X800's are overpriced.
the 6800GT laughs at the X800....

ATI is good, I will buy another ATI card depending on time, situation and price.
