Buying new computer

I'm in the market for a new computer! I have a budget of 800-900 dollars. I know this won't buy me a top-of-the-line computer, but I want one that will play BF2 great. I need help finding a place to buy them cheap and of good quality, thanks! :)

I could get some help from a friend or even my uncle, I really do need to save money. Thanks, I remember that site! Nice one, but anyone intersted in helping pick out parts? I'm not exactly sure what would work with what. I only need at least 80G HD, one optical drive, at least 3.2Ghz processor or AMD processor of equivalent speed, and a good vid. card.

i would get a pci e motherboard, and a 6600GT for the video card (made by nvidia)

Floppy Drive (you'll need this to install the drivers for your hard drive, thats the catch with SATA hard drives, but they're worth it); Samsung Floppy Drive - $7.25.

Thats all you need for the tower. If my calculator is correct, it comes out to roughly $763 which leaves you room for Shipping and Handling, Tax if applicable, and any other parts you might want.

The 6800GS is better than the 6600GT and performs on par with the 6800GT. Not to mention it overclocks very high. If you want to overclock the processor, you will need to use a memory divider since the memory will not overclock.

AMD or Intel?
Whats the difference?
Which is faster/cheaper?

AMD is both faster and cheaper for gaming.

Ah.. Ok, then I'll remove the intel processor and intel compat. motherboard and swith it to AMD.

I would build my own, if not then get a Dell. Ignor what people say about how they are bad because I paid $800 + $110 for Ram and I play on ALL high settings.

Wow, nice of you! Didn't see the edit. THanks! Damn I'm so tempted to buy that now, but I know I need to use my cash for X-mas gifts and Thanksgiving weekend. Haha I just spent an hour picking parts out in newegg when you already had a list complete, thanks again.
