For talking some big ****, you guys dont' seem to provide any ways I "should" test it otherwise. I am not going to spend 25,000 for some test to prove that my system is stable.

Not worth it to me. My system runs 100% stable. I have a 450watt PSU fyi. My computer isn't running SLI either, nor would the system that I configured. If down the road he were to do SLI then yes I agree he needs a new PSU. But I have never had an issue with mine and he will be running a slightly less powerful PSU then I will be, and also if he gets the GT a slightly less power-hungry card.

Find out what you want in you new computer and then go shopping here at this web site http://www.pricewatch.com/ this site gives you links to the lowest price vendor on the net. and it also gives you feedback on that vendor. Check out sites on the parts you want then go looking for the best stuff. seems like what you wil need is

1. CPU
2. MB
3. Ram
4. New case ( maybe )
5. maybe new and faster hard drive
6. power supply
7. new video card
8. new sound card ( maybe )

I think the rest of the things you will have unless you also need a new DVD burner/player

I see you already have a monitor, keyboard, speakers and mouse. Please let me know which monitor you have.
As for system building a few of these guys know what they are doing.
1st get a very good PSU man, please!!!
The mobo really depends on if you want overclock, SLI and such. I went with the ASUS SLI deluxe a8n because it has the biggest gap bewteen videocards for cooling, but these mobos dont overclock well, the DFI and MSI boards overclock much better.
I would only use a AMD 64 3000+ threw 3800+X2
I highly recommend a 7800GT,my boy just got one, these are blazing fast and cheaper then the GTX, same reason i bought my 6800gt back when the Ultras where out.
Please buy good ram, not value select, I went with XMS as you can see. Dont listin to noobs, 4x512mb is the best way to get 2gbs cuz 512 sticks run faster then 1gbs strips. I would recommend either raptors or some diamondmax 10's for your HD. Both run fast as a single drive, and the raptors are insane in raid. I started out with only a single drive. If you have some extra loot to spare, pick up a X-FI card or run onboard sound until u can. The X-fis are the best sound card ever!!!! the hype was real, but u will take a performence hit in BF2 but no other game. It probably to much info but good luck bro

On most boards, your correct, which is why I'm selling the ram I got to get a pair of 1gb sticks.

Actually, you're both wrong. It has nothing to do with the motherboard. Its the processor. Older Socket 754 Athlon 64s, and the Socket 939 Winchester, couldn't handle all 4 dimms full so they underclocked the memory to 333Mhz. On the newer Socket 939 Athlon 64s including the Venices and San Diegos, you won't find that. I should know, I'm running 4 x 512MB @ 400Mhz (well, 360MHz, but I'm using a divider) with a Venice.

I've read alot about this issue and several motherboards (including my own Gigabyte) have probs with running the same timings and speed with 4 sticks. That's why I have decided to go for 1 GB sticks. If you can run the same timings with 4 sticks then good for you.

very true everyone, i did forget about the problems with older core 64's befor venice and San D cores not running 400 speeds right when using all channels. Still 2gbs at 4x512 is fine and pretty cheap. XP pro cant see more then 2.5 gbs not matter what you try, so you would need X64 windows to use 4gbs. X64 windows is the only reason I would go with 1gb strips so I could have 4gbs 1 day. Sorry tho I still think 4x512 is the way to go, its simple to just get 1gb at he start and upgrade later.
