I think after some study I know how the heat pipe works. well here is a picture showing how it work

If I put the heatpipe cooler on my CPU in a tower computer, the heatpipes will be facing horizontally to the ground. So that means the vapor in the heatsink will not go up and cool down or anything. It will just stay there and do nothing. I can understand that heatpipe will work in a desktop computer because the the heatpipes are vertical and it will rise up.
I dont think heatpipes heatsink has any pump. it works on the concept that heated liquid are lighter and goes up and colder liquid are heavy and they go down. about the water cooling, yep the pump puts the pressure in and out and the water flows, but in heatpipes, gravity is the pump.
on this heatpiped heatsink(one of many heatsinks) below, there is no pump, just a fan that cools the big radiator on the top. what happens if we put this on the tower computer? it has to sit horizontal right?? means the liquid is gonna flow nowhere??
Well this problem came in my head when i was looking for a Socket 775 (also known as socket T) heatsink. Anyone has experience with heatsink with heatpipes that they are using on a tower computer.
