What are the advantages of having a raptor hd? Besides BF2 loading faster. Kind of pricy are they not?

Well, as you say BF2 load faster, but so does everything else on the system - from booting Windows to opening large documents, compressing files - basically all operations in which the harddrive is being used.

The biggest bottleneck in all modern PC's is the harddrive - so it helps to get a fast one.

Nononono, the hd barely touches the loading times compared to memory. WIth raptors in Raid 0, the best loading time you could get would be around 30 seconds, plus at least 10 seconds for client data. Another gig of memory provides the performance needed, BF2 just needs vid card and memory, the rest is all good as long as above recommended specs (2.6ghz cpu, over 4gb of hd space etc.)

Sweet! Thanks for answering my question! I'll probably purchase another 36GB Raptor and configuring it in RAID0.
