For maximum performance at a decent price, go for the Western Digital Raptor S-ATA disk. They come in 37 and 72GB.
    10.000RPM! :)

I though the bigger ones were 74 not 72, but thats a small difference, and yea i would recomend the Western Digital Raptor SATA HD's, their great, especially if they are run in RAID 0.

Raptors for performance in raid 0, stick a large storage brick like a Maxtor 300gb for your pron and dled music :)

                  Re: Good HD?

Basically, the higher the rpm the better, the more Cache the better (16 Mb is rly good) 8 mb is ok, and you wana a SATA, (as long as you mobo has a SATA connection).

It might explain all my excessive downloading in the past week... haha...

Wait for the release of the new 7200.9 series from Seagate, then get the largest that will fit ur budget. Most likely you'll get around 200GB as well as a really nice HD (some of the best seek times etc besides the Raptors).

I suggest SATA as well if your mobo supports it. If not, PATA saves money! (but is not as good)
