Well for all you doubters out there saying the X1800 line wouldn't stand a chance....I'm sorry to burst your bubble. Every single Benchmark run except for Doom3, the X1800XT out performs the 7800GTX.

Say what you want about them, they test things ligitly using benchmarks in not only Benchmark Software, but also in real games.
They also have a nice review of Crossfire which is ariving with the X1XXX series cards for you doubters out there.Comment

I heard rumors of an 7800 ultra. Dont qoute me on this. Ive had an nvidia way back before mohaa and i had problems with it. Since then i been an ati fan.But right now ill take a nvidia or ati. Anything that will run BF2. Although ATI is looking godo with the x1800 series. I better save money for one of those. I could go with PCI express since my power supply is SLI ready.Comment

That is up to you to buy it. But it out performs it hands down. MSRP is $550-500. Which is exactly how much the 7800GTX cost when it first came out. Marginally is a difference of opinion. Look for other benchmarks, 10FPS is not marginal in my opinion.
Also, the rumor the Ultra is false. Nvidia had a press release sometime ago saying that the GTX was the new adaptation of Ultra to make it less confusing to the consumer.
Snake, the X1800XT is ATI's equivielt to the 7800GTX, not the X850XT PE. Also ATI already has the R580s in the works, and will probably release it in a more timely manner then they did with the X1000s.Comment
