Thats pretty risky, you should have AT LEAST a 500 watt PSU for SLi, I would deffinitely look into getting a new one. Why would you even risk blowing all of that up, that's like a 2000 dollars computer.

I got my PSU for 35 bucks and it does me good.

Ok *******, no need to be a **** about it. When your system blows up, not my fault. I'm just tellin you what the minimum specs are that I have seen for SLi, a 500 watt power supply. But whatever floats your boat.

Yeah I'm sure he is fine and the reason why they recomend a 500W PSU is cuz most people buy a cheap PSU that may say 420W or whatever and it will really only be providing like 350W and 420W peak...The thing with PSUs is you have to look at how long they hold the peak wattage for...the longer the better....

And to the one that said he spent 35 bucks on a PSU, I see it in these 2 ways....you either have nothing power hungry or lack of shizzle in the case...or you but it off the internet hence saved a boat load of money

evesham i feel is not AS good as MESH. With MESH for £1350 i got all in my sig, a 8ms DVI 17inch monitor, great cooling and freaking great speakers (I truige 3200).

Also 3 year premier on site warranty, if my comp craps up then someone will come to my houes and fix it. If my 7800GTX dies then they will replace it. No sending it off.

Noni....with this last post..Im sorry but 3 year warnty...on site...u just lost a whole bunch of points in my book...If you know this much about computers then why did you have a computer built for you, with all the BS cds they give and no OEM software...I mean yeah warrnties are great for things like laptops...but in my opnion if you buy a kick ass PC and know how to work it/fix it yourself you just created a bunch of headaches having to deal with the all pain in the ass TECH SUPPORT...

My dad said NO to building a computer myself. Too much hassle. RMA'ing things and recieving. Someone will come to my house and fix my comp or replace parts. No problems. Also i tried buying the same computer online with buying all the OEM and retail parts. It was £50-70 more.

Also my warranty IS NOT VIODED WHEN I FIDDLE AROUND IN MY CASE. I can add cards, fans, anything.

Now, I feel that is a good deal. Most people spend £1500+ for a 7800GTX and everything to keep it from bottlenecking. I spent less. In my book its a great deal.

It will be a little while longer before we need 1000W PSU's in our computers to run everything but to put things into perspective, 1000W is not that much, just a decent vacuumcleaner consumes 1440W, a modest electric spaceheater 1500W and a medium dryer 5400W

You make a good point, also it's not like you got it from alienware or dell...I'm hearing not so good things about alienware lately...

I thought building a computer was going to be a huge headache...well the first one I built wasnt to much of a headache but the second one was a walk in the park...I could prolly pump them out by now...

From what I hear the only time you should opt for an extended warranty is on a laptop... otherwise they say it's a waste of time since most other things will break if they do within the first year....

regardless dont make my mistake and buy a cheap power supply...im a freaking Electrical Designer too....and I buy a cheap power supply god I felt so stupid when it bit the dust.... hehehe
