Just browesed quickly, but I have an Audigy 2 ZS and run Hardware/High/EAX on. I used to run AC97, but it bites.

personally i dont recommend the Audigy. when i think about it ill be playing with a headset on most of the time and the 7.1 onboard audio is just fine to play some music and maybe bf2 once and a while. the only real reason to get a z2 is if u play music non-stop on ur comp

The real reason for me was that it was only 50$ on boxing day, so I decided sure why not, and wow was that alot of bang for my buck.

The Audigy 2 ZS is an ok card except for the fact that many many people can not get the EAX effects to actually work in-game despite the fact it is enabled in the in game menu. Google it and you will see what I mean. This card is supposed to be perfect for BF2, well, it isnt. In hindsight I regret buying this card because of the horrible driver support.

Glad I got the Audigy 4 then. :)
