Anyone have the Creative Audigy 2 ZS?

Are you able to use hardware rendering for sound in BF2? I bought a Soundblaster Live 24bit card and it can't do it. Looking for a reasonably priced upgrade that will support hardware rendering.

I have one, its great, excellent sound quality, and runs EAX very well. It also increases performance in games when using EAX. I run hardware/high with EAX, and get great performance.

I also got mine for $50 brand new on boxing day.

how you get it to run at hardware, mines on software, and sounds dont work on hardware?

personally i dont recommend the Audigy. when i think about it ill be playing with a headset on most of the time and the 7.1 onboard audio is just fine to play some music and maybe bf2 once and a while. the only real reason to get a z2 is if u play music non-stop on ur comp

No, the real reason to get an Audigy is so that you can use hardware rendering and EAX (neither of which you get with onboard sound), regardless of whether you use speakers or headphones.

I've had the Audigy 2ZS for some time now. It's a GREAT card, have had 0 problems with it, and yes, it WILL make a difference!

I ended up with the Audigy 4 which is pretty much the Audigy 2ZS with a remote. I love it.
