Battlefield 2 Glitch

Hi,
Can anyone help me.
The problem is when i play bf2 my monitor shuts down after a short while,
i seem to pass all the recommendations.
Ati radeon 9600 pro
1gig memory
Amd 64 bit 3200 processor.

not sure if it's screen resolution, my monitor or.....................

i have the same video card... no problems here (dont mind the 9800 in my sig.)
i have amd 64 3800.
shouldnt be a problem...

That is one of the most interesting problems I've ever heard anyone say.

Has this happen in anything else you've done? Does it usually happen when you're doing anything certain or it just goes off after a short time while playing the game?

Thx for the replys.
No it just happens with bf2, plays ok for a while then just freezes and monitor turns off.
when i do ctrl alt del it goes back to desktop.
plays half life 2, doom 3 no prob.

Tried the Ati website for drivers for the 9600 pro,
but sorry to be a noob but not sure which to get ???

check out the hz on your monitor..
The monitor shutts down when te hertz is too high

If it could be overheating would it be with my video card ?

thnk the monitor is 60hz.

Yes your videocard...
thats the minimum on bf2 i think.. (60 hz)
try to reinstall the game and delete the Battlefield 2 folder in "My dokuments"

Maybe your videocard is going out,mine did that then a couple of weeks later it went ppphhhhhh
