No. Socket A is dead. You will regret it later on if you go that route. Socket 754 is faster, newer, and cheaper.

Yes, cheaper. A Sempron 3000+ is $89 vs. an XP 2800+ which is $98. Looks chaeper to me.

oh but iam getting a bundle so it comes with a mobo and processor... and its CDN dollars so the prices you are posting are like chinese to me. But thanks for the help so far.
