Ok, in that case you're in a bit of a troubled situation. I think you should buy a new CPU though, get an Athlon XP so you don't have to change mobos. MAKE SURE THAT THE CPU YOU ARE GETTING IS THE SAME SOCKET. Or else you'll have to get a new mobo.

Honestly, after rereading your first post, I think your CPU and video card are fine to run the game. You will benefit the most by upgrading to 1GB of RAM.

If you are on a budget, adding RAM is the only reasonable option providing a guaranteed performance increase.

Yeah, do what Shamus said aswell, because 200 bucks is enough to get a processor and ram. Here's anice Athlon XP: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103377
It's only about 100 bucks, you could defintly buy 512mb of ram.

Well, for 200 bucks....you could get more RAM....other then that, nothing that would be worth it.

                  ...475 now

I'd recommend at least some more RAM.

I had a crap system much like yours, and I upgraded the RAM to 2GB and saw a bigger performance jump than going from my old 5600 256MB to the new 6800GT I got.

If your going with a new MOBO/CPU might as well pick up a cheap socket s754 board and a sempron.
