No, the Mx518 and the Razer Diamondback are equal, both equipped with 1600 DPI optical sensors, they just feel different, the Diamond back is a more low profile that's longer, the Mx518 is taller and smaller in length, it's all opinion, plus the G5 and copperhead will own both by a ton, the G5 is Logitechs new gaming mouse that's coming soon, with a 2000dpi sensor, the copperhead is the same sensor, just different profile. Razer and Logitech use the same tech, if you read my last post you would know, they're probably merged, but still have different companies names, just like in auto business, Ford took over Volvo a long time ago, but they still have volvo developers building new designs, just a lot of money goes to ford, Volvo still has a mostly european truck business.

The G7 is wireless, i would get the G5, never have to change or recharge the batteries when you're playing the game, plus wierless i known to have lag sometimes, and BTW, i must be a hippocrit, i have a wireless mouse myself, but i don't wanna pay 50 bucks for a Razer Diamondback, or ay 70 bucks for the copperhead when it comes out, plus my setup came with a comfort keyboard, for 70 bucks at costco, it's good, i think the setup is Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3.0. It's good enough for me.

I have a Razer Diamondback and I love it. Best mouse I ever owned. I use it together with a Razer ExactMat and it's gaming heaven. I might upgrade to a Copperhead tho. It looks pretty sweet.

I have an MX1000 and I love it. I think that Razer's mice are way over rated. People pay like $50 bucks for a wired, optical mouse from them. I paid $40 for my MX1000 and couldn't be happier. Good response time (NO LAG, not even when the battery is almost dead).
