To all those looking for cheap graphic cards...

DO NOT BUY CARDS WITH 256mb! Unless its more powerful than a 6600GT.

There is no piont of it, I see so many threads with people sucked in, its like a gimmic.

Just because of the 256mb does NOT mean its better!!!

You will probably need the ram for high resolutions. Resultions the speeds of the card cannot support.

Also most of the cheap cards have "DDR", look out for thise when you are buying cards. Especially on cards like 6800gt 128mb and X800's. You want DDR3 or GDDR3. Its faster RAM!!!!

Basically, for good performance, the minimal cheap cards you can get is the-

    6600GT (I reccomend this one)

    or

    9800 pro/ X800GT

Good luck with finding your cards people!

must be 75c for the GPU as 75F is very low. The Artic Cooling Silencser looks very good.

Ive just bought a 6800GT as I killed my 6800 Vanila but found the ram defaults to 900Mhz instead of 1000Mhz. After googling, I found that some unlucky XFX owners are stuck with that as default even though removing the HSF reveals the memory is standard 1000Mhz.

Cheapest card that can support BF2: Radeon X300, my card!

It will run it fine on medium settings 0x AA, 100% view distance on 1024x768.

And i have 512mb RAM, it will be quite good enough once i get another 512 stick.
