Give that Q6600 an OC to 3ghz, then do a 3dmark06. Don't worry about stressing the CPU overclock until after the 3dmark test.

I don't think i can overclock this It runs at about 20-23-26-27 degrees idle.. Last time i tried overclocking everything went wrong will taking it to 3ghz make a big difference?

I can give it another go i guess my mobo was faulty so maybe that also caused for overclocking issues..

Can you help me do it maybe? ^_^ Like just tell me what program I need and what voltages i need to set etc?.. I can't remember what i did last time >_<

You don't need to change voltages probably. Just change the FSB.

clocking the core to 3ghz wont make a big difference in games

it will make a big difference in 3d mark 06 if you love a huge epenis :laugh:

WTF?!??!?! now it runs at 30--37c idle and i haven't changed anything :shock: why did it go up by 10c??? even my room is the same temp..

i reccomend taking the voltages up a little,on the q6600 mine would not boot after 2.9ghz with stock voltages

1780 on SM2.0, 2829 on HDR/SM3.0 at the lowest resolution, failed miserably on the CPU test, less than 1 FPS, not even going to bother with it. :|:

Lol everybody gets about 1-2 fps on teh cpu test because its just using the CPU to do stuff..lol...
