      I have gotten to 2.35ghz, but i don't feel like getting there, the whole boot up process takes a while. Anyways, ya, i got the bad batch, i've tried ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, i've messed around with the memory divider, put the CPU voltage to 1.65 volts, the memory to 2.7 volts, the LSB multi to x4, yet i can NEVER get anything better than 2.35ghz. It's kinda laughable how bad that is, but i got the bad batch, unless someone can still help me (would putting the LSB multi to x3 help?)

      EDIT: I even tried to get some advice from posting a thread, it's somewhere in this hardware section, it says 'how the hell do i oc past 2.25ghz' after i learned that i had to up the voltage etc., i couldn't get past 2.35ghz, people tried to help me, but nobody could help me get past that mark.

        It's got to be something else. Have you lowered the CPU multi and pushed the FSB up to make sure it wasn't your MOBO?

          No, but last time i tried that, my mobo went dead, and i had to buy a new mobo, i bought the DFI NF4 Ultra-D Lanparty, so i HIGHLY doubt it's the MOBO. I'm guessing it's the memory, i got a gig stick of corsair valueselect ram. Which has timings of 3-3-3-7.

            If it was the RAM changing the divider would solve the problem.

                    just a little bit, considering in the 3d tests i get the same score as anyone w/ a 1900, but CPU test is less then half of someone w/ an FX60 and 06 adds CPU into the score

                    look at 3d test scores on this

                    and then mine

                    my 3d tests are higher but the CPU kills me

                          Why is no one posting their ORB link? Oh well.

                          Specs:
                          AMD 3800 @ 2552 :: 2GB Samsung UCCC (3-3-3-7) :: 7800 GTX @ 526/1300

                          What Mushkin memory are you using and also can you tell me where you got your 170 from? Cheers!

                            I can't publish my ORB results since Futuremark doesn't have the X1900 in their database yet.

                            The ram I have were one of the first Mushkin High Performance Blue sets containing Inineon BE-5 chips and the brainpower PCB. I bought them when they were first released @ $260, but I only know of four people with results like mine. You can still get them, but there are better ram out now:

                            The Opteron 170 I aslo got when they were first released from Neweeg. It's one of the good stepping 0530 TPMW. There are some Opterons 165/170's out now doing just as well with 0550 UPMW steppings. I know they are selling 0550 at ZipZoomFly right now.

                                Well, let's see, i've tried the ram at a divider of 5:6, doesn't work above 235 FSB, same with a 2:3 divider, still can't get it above 235FSB. Any more tips, i'm thinking the only thing i can do is lower my LDT multi to 3x, would this help at all?
