I assume you're leaving the 3dMark settings at default for these test? I'll run one tonight and post. I've altered the settings when I bought it and I have to remember the defaults.

whats wrong with my computer!!!????

running bf2 at ultrahigh sets......16x1200....throw any aa or af into it and get around 7 fps.....

AA and AF are possibly the biggest system hogs, and when EVERYTHING else is ultra-high, on the highest resolution, adding the slightest bit of AA or AF increases the strain on your computer exponentially. Think of it this way. Every setting except AA, AF, and maybe the dynamic shadows, "add up" the strain on your computer. Throw in any of the above 3, and they "multiply" the strain, because they have to constantly work on every single detail of every player, object, blade of grass, etc. as the game is playing in real time. AA and AF work on smoothing out edges, so as players and vehicles move, they have to be constantly reshaping these edges as they move. The shadows have to constantly move with everything that moves too. Plus your processor is far from the best, so it's got to be working over-time with the settings you're pulling for.

Feel free to correct me or add anything, as I tend to just think I know what I'm talking about
