That 2.4ghz is strangling your 9800gx2. You really need to overclock it to 3.4ghz, and you'll make about another 3000 - 4000 points i suspect.

Put it this way, i score higher with a Core 2 Duo E6600, 8800gts 320mb and Vista than you do, so, something is not right :|:

but surely the CPU wouldnt bring my mark down that far.. i have seen people pull over 20,000+ without any hassle using the 9800GX2..

Yes, but that's with a better CPU. What Alex is saying is that the 9800 is not used to its full potential with that CPU. Think of it as a train where one of the coaches has got its brakes stuck on; however hard the engine tries, the braking coach will hold it back.

i just oc'd the cpu to avoid some bottlenecking with the GPU.. i oc'd it to 3GHz and did another test.. i got 13150 which for this system is obviously still sht.. i have ran out of ideas. i totaly give up on this pile of crap

i have already posted there.. i got 5 pages of feeback.. still trying to figure it out this pc just doesn't seem to want to work.. anyway back on topic.
