Give that Q6600 an OC to 3ghz, then do a 3dmark06. Don't worry about stressing the CPU overclock until after the 3dmark test.

Yea, the graphics score is too low. I scored more with a E6600 and a 8800gt.

I would do a full driver reinstall or something.

Yea, "I'm normal" is correct, you must have the pro edition for the exact scores.

Just wondering Alex, how come whenever I run a 3dmark test I have to go online to see the result, whereas you have it there in a window?

Is a limitation of the free edition?

I have the professional edition which brings up a window with individual scores.

As you can see it lists my graphics score and CPU score separate.

3d mark 06 is really biased towards a better CPU, i hear vantage is better but i dont have vista to try it

I have just received my 4870, so obviously the first thing to do was overclock and bench it :p

I used overdrive to do an automatic tune and then checked it's stability with ATI tool. However, i stopped the memory clock at 1000mhz as that was already a 100mhz extra.

So, good?

Not sure about uping the NB to 1.5V...Although there is a new setting that came with my new flashed BIOS wich is Strap FSB to northbridge..I've seen someone on OCN with it at 333Mhz..I have it on Auto atm....

Try bumping Northbridge voltage to 1.45v (or 1.55v if you have good cooling on it), RAM to its' stated maximum and then vcore slowly. See if that makes a difference.
