    Re: 9800 or 6600GT

As previously mentioned. The ATI X800GT is slightly faster than the 6600GT and in ATI refined games miles faster. The card is also as cheap/cheaper.

I think the PowerColor model is the best X800GT to go for as it runs on a cut down X850XT core. The other X800GTs run on the X800 core.

They are refurbished meaning someone returned them for some reason. But they are guranteed to work and still come in the retail box with everything included.
They also come with a 3 year warranty.
      Enjoy

      Only 200 dollars each.

Thats 50 dollars more then a 6600 or 9800 but a lot better.
That looks well good.....for you lucky US and Canada punters. Pity they dont ship to the UK, never mind buy one, I could sell a bundle of em at that price.

In the meanwhile....checking out ebay

9800 or 6600, lmao no contest now the ati x800 and 6600 theres a little contest in that, but if you are gonna upgrade id do it properly and get a 7800 because this card blows all the others out of the water

Purelly down to price now - my funds and the increasing dodginess of my 9700 - means the 6600 gt wins. £50-£70 difference between the 660gt and the x800pro ever this side of the pond.

A 7800 would be nice - as it would paired up on a sli pci e setup with 1 4gig processor to keep it going, but i'm not getting any of that for the 100 british quid mark
