X850 XT PE with new catalyst 5.8 ,FPS?

With the new Catalyst 5.8, what Fps your system averages with everything on high with this card? I was thinking of buying it, the AGP version.

well i havent downloaded te 5.8 cuz i read that they do nothing to help the game.

im running an x800 XT pci-e with 5.7 cats and i run everything on high except terrain and geometry on medium, and i pull down 80-120 fps constantly.

well I have the a crappy 9500 Pro and before the 5.8 driver I had everything on low of course, and after the new driver I set some setting at medium and lightning on high and I average 50 fps, at 1024 768, thats pretty good for a old card.

X850XT on Omega drivers (for Catalyst 5.7) and mostly everything on high, some shit medium, some low. i really dont wanna put it all on high until i get my second gig of RAM. then ill test it out full out and see what i get. but i get about 60-100 fps, depending on lag and where i am

I have an Asus Extreme X850 XT at PE speeds (AGP), currently with the 5.8 CP drivers and it runs very smoothly ! Everything on high, except 'dynamic shadows' and 'dynamic lightning' on medium. Score mostly 'round 60 fps on 1280x1024. A second gig of ram is also on my list

Purchase, you won't regret it !!! Currently 6490 3dmark 05

I've an x800pro which i've modded to an X800Xt pe (agp) Core 546 / mem 558 - i'm running a combination of ultra high / high / medium settings with 2 x AA and 16 X AF @ 1600 X 1200 @ 85hz, and i'm noticing a massive overall improvement with the 5.8's - i'd say as much as a 50% improvement overall compaired to the 5'7's with an average FPS of 70 which is pretty solid even in the thick of action on a 64 player server

Yeah try 120 FPS with 64 people in a server. Your only at 91 fps because theres only 1 person.

I can get that at 1280x960 all high with 4aa on with no bots on sp with my x800xl. I'm not trying to be an ass. Just pointing out it's highly unlikely anyone's going to get a consistent fps rate over 60-70 on a mp game with stuff actually happening.

Well, I think he could get 100+ frames if you run fraps or ati tray tools from omega... If he uses renderer.drawfps 1 then he wont go higher then 99,9 :P Which means 99,9 or 99,9+ frames...

game.lockFps [framerate] - Caps the game's maximum framerate to specified number



from the totalbf2 website.

it unlocks the cap on the fps, noob.
