I would say so to...why buy dual 7800GTX's? If you have way more than enough...sure go ahead. But if you are just skinning your teeth, I would rather donate to a charity.

No, that's wrong. If you work hard in life, you deserve to treat yourself with something you enjoy. I'm spending alot of money for my next computer so it lasts longer, that dosen't mean I don't have "too little life" at all.

If you are a lawyer or something like that...you deserve to buy a nice "something" for yourself.
If you work at McDoanald's, then buying a super-computer would be stupid
Even if you are a middle-class businessman, that doesn't mean you can't spend a good sum on your computer.

Haha...i'm playing fine (BF2, WoW, CS S, heck even the FEAR Demo) with my config. I"ll last probably just 1 more year before I do the massive upgrade i've done every 2 years. Sides, I knew my 6600 GT would handle fine with BF2. All I need is a new LCD and i'm set for a bit. I kinda want to see how the new Windows Vista + other things push hardware to the limits, again.

I work at KFC and bought my system, it wasnt "super" but was souped up.. saved up for nearly a year though :P

I mow lawns, as I am still a kid, and I bought parts of my "new" system. Thats why I said you can be a normal person and still buy nice parts, it doesn't matter...

Yeah, the requirements for Counter-Strike 1.6 and even Counter-Strike Source aren't very high and many people only play Counter-Strike.

Whwn my 9800 pro blew up I had to use my Geforce Ti4200 (crap), BFV ran really bad so I played CSS for a few months to wait for my new card. I could play CSS max settings @ 65+fps. Just shows CSS players dont need good PC's.

I built my new rig for 934 bucks including tax and shipping, i bough all parts from newegg.com, I run BF2 on max settings with 6xAA at 1280x960 resolution. I saved at least 300 bucks. Build your own system is the only way to go if you have saving money on your mind.

Sry, really, you might not believe this excuse, i've been on vacation in china for the past few weeks, didn't bring a laptop, plus, the laptop i have has a 32mb vid card, so it doesn't matter, plus it would suck. Ok, detailed specs,

Mobo: MSI Neo 4 (can't remeber the rest of the name, one PCI-e slot, socket 939)
CPU: Athlon 64 3200+ slightly overclocked to 2184mhz.
Memory: Corsair 1gb Value Select
Hard Drive: Seagate 250gb SATA 150 hard drive
Sound Card: integrated, don't care much for sound,
Video Card: X800XL PCI-e OCed to 430/540.
Optical Drives: One Sony DRU-800.
Power Supply: Some generic 450 watt power supply that came with case.
Ok, and a 4 year old sony deluxe pro LCD monitor. I get the minimum of about 30 fps, max around 65 fps, I play on max settings including dynamic lighting and shadows, as well as 6xAA, it runs smoothly at 1280x960, if you don't believe me i frankly don't care, cause if you don't believe me, i'll enjoy playin BF2 at max settings while you look for a reasoning for how this is possible, or start flaming saying that i'm lying.

I'm calling you out on this one. You're FPS will almost certainly drop below 20 when you have a heavy load on the card. Sure, walking alone in a remote area of the map must get some nice frames, but any time you've got action, you're card is gonne choke like a virgin on her wedding night.

A 9200 barely qualifies (no offense, but...) as a video card and has more use as a "Graphics adapter".

But that's just MHO.
